Ringlock scaffolding accessories are the essential components that complete a scaffold system and ensure safe, efficient operation. Our comprehensive accessory range includes spigot connectors for joining standards end-to-end, joint pins and connecting sleeves for secure tube connections, scaffold stairs with handrails for safe internal access between levels, toe boards and guardrails for fall protection at platform edges, and caster wheels for creating mobile scaffold towers.

As a professional scaffolding accessories manufacturer based in Nanjing, China, LuckyScaffolding produces all accessories from high-quality Q235 structural steel and hot dip galvanizes them to ISO 1461 standard for long-term durability. Our in-house fabrication capabilities also allow us to produce custom accessories for specialized applications — simply send us your drawings or requirements for quotation.

Spigot connectors are forged steel inserts that fit inside the 48.3mm tube bore, allowing two standards to be joined end-to-end for greater height. Joint pins are used to connect two tubes of the same diameter where a spigot cannot be used. Connecting sleeves provide an external coupling option. Scaffold stairs with integrated handrails and platforms provide much safer internal access than external ladders, especially on tall towers.

Toe boards prevent tools and materials from falling off platforms, while guardrails provide worker fall protection. Caster wheels with brakes allow scaffold towers to be moved safely without dismantling. We supply these accessories to scaffold rental companies, construction contractors, and industrial maintenance providers worldwide.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you supply complete scaffold stair tower kits?

Yes, we supply integrated stair tower kits that include scaffold stairs with handrails, intermediate landing platforms, guardrails, and toe boards. Stair towers provide much safer access than external ladders, especially for scaffolds over 6 meters in height, and are required by many safety regulations for high working platforms.

What caster wheel capacity do I need for mobile scaffold towers?

To determine caster capacity, calculate the total weight of the scaffold tower (including materials, workers, and self-weight), divide by the number of casters, and add a 50% safety margin. Our 150mm casters are rated for 300kg each, and our 200mm casters are rated for 500kg each. Always use casters with brakes on at least two wheels.

Can you fabricate custom scaffolding accessories for my project?

Yes, we have in-house fabrication capabilities including cutting, bending, welding, and machining. Send us your drawings, sketches, or detailed requirements, and our engineering team will review feasibility and provide a quotation. We regularly produce custom brackets, specialty connectors, and non-standard components.

What is the difference between a spigot connector and a joint pin?

A spigot connector is an internal fitting that inserts into the bore of two tubes to join them end-to-end. A joint pin is an external fitting that passes through aligned holes in two tubes. Spigots provide a cleaner joint with no external protrusion, while joint pins are faster to install and require no precise alignment.

Are toe boards required by safety regulations?

Yes, toe boards are mandatory on all scaffold platforms under EN 12810, OSHA 1926.451, and most national scaffold safety codes. They prevent tools, materials, and debris from falling off platforms and striking workers below. Our toe boards are 150mm high with hook-on attachment for quick installation.

Do scaffold stairs require guardrails on both sides?

Yes, scaffold stairs must have guardrails on both sides and at all intermediate landings under EN 12810 and OSHA regulations. Our stair kits include all necessary handrails, guardrails, and toe boards. The stairs are designed with a comfortable 30-degree angle and anti-slip treads.

How do I connect standards end-to-end for extra height?

Use our forged spigot connectors to join two standards end-to-end. Insert the spigot into the bottom of the upper standard and the top of the lower standard, then secure with a wedge or pin. The spigot provides a rigid connection that transfers both axial and bending loads between sections.

Can I use your accessories with other scaffold systems?

Many of our accessories are compatible with multiple systems. Spigots, joint pins, and connecting sleeves work with any 48.3mm diameter tube. Toe boards and guardrails are generally universal. Caster wheels fit most standard scaffold frames. Stair systems are designed for ringlock but can often be adapted. Contact us for compatibility questions.
